Father Andrew G. George

Father Andrew G. George was born and raised in Monessen, PA. His greek ancestry is from the island of Rhodes. He is a graduate of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Seminary with a Master's Degree in Theology.

During his seminary years, he served as president of his class for two different years, as secretary of the student body and as president of the student body. He served as head chapel sacristan for 5 years, religious editor of the student newspaper and was on the staff of the Hellenic College yearbook. He also produced and directed radio programs for the seminary's "Contemplate Radio Show" aired at that time on Boston's WROR FM.

Upon graduation from Holy Cross, he served at various positions of church work in the USA and was with the Ionian Village staff in Greece. During this time, he served as a lay-assistant to the parish in Toledo, Ohio, administrated the parish of St. Spyridon, Monessen, PA in a 6 month interim of the assignment of a priest for the parish, served on the staff of St. Basil's Academy in Garrison, NY and served as priest's assistant at the parish in Rochester, NY.

He was married to the former Maria Voulgarakis of Wierton, WV, ordained to the diaconate on Sept. 18, 1977 in Monessen, PA and ordained a priest on Nov. 5, 1977 in Rochester, NY.

His first parish assignment was to the St. George Church of Bangor, ME, which he served for 5 1/2 years. He has been pastor of the Church of the Annunciation since March 1, 1983.

Fr. Andrew & Presbytera Maria have 2 children, Anthony Nektarios (1978) and Kassiane Elene (1982). Father and Presbytera's daughter Kassiane and her husband Michael welcomed their first child, Giulian Andrew Campopiano, into the world on November 26, 2010. Fr. Andrew and Presbytera Maria are now beaming, first-time grandparents!

Father Emanuel Chris

Rev. Dr. Emanuel S. Chris, MD, M. Div, is a Priest of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and a practicing Psychiatrist. He is a graduate of Columbia College in 1980 with a BA in History, of The Albany Medical College in 1986 with an MD, and of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in 2005 with an M.Div. with high distinction.

Dr. Chris completed his Residency Training in Adult Psychiatry at the Tufts New England Medical Center Hospital and the Department of Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Boston, MA in 1990. Dr. Chris has been a clinician and administrator in both the public and private sectors of the Mental Health system as the Associate Medical Director of Pembroke Hospital in Pembroke, MA, Chief of Staff of the Worcester State Psychiatric Hospital in Worcester, MA, and Medical Director of Bournewood Hospital and Health Systems in Brookline, MA.

Dr. Chris has also taught as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and at the Boston University School of Medicine, as well as an instructor in Pastoral Theology and Hospital Ministry at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Fr. Emanuel was ordained by Metropolitan Methodios of Boston to the Diaconate in 2004, then served as a Deacon at the St. Spyridon Cathedral in Worcester, MA, and again to the Priesthood in 2005 and has been serving since then as the second Priest at the Church of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Parish of Greater Providence in Cranston, RI.

Dr. Chris is also in full time Private Practice in Adult Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology at Boston Health Care in Walpole, MA with specialty in treating adults with co-existing psychiatric disorders and chemical dependencies or addictions. Fr. Emanuel is married to Presbytera Evangelia Chris, LICSW, who is a Clinical Social Worker at the Worcester State Hospital; they reside in Mansfield, MA, and have two adult children, Elina, and Nicholas.
